About the name "Hakata"

Hakata is one of the oldest cities in Japan in what is now known as Fukuoka. Hakata was famous for being the location of two failed Mongol invasions of Japan in the late 13th Century. Hakata is used interchangibly with Fukuoka by Japanese people. The founder chose Hakata as the name of his company since his family has historical roots in the Hakata region.
